Job description

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing customers, identifying their needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Sales & Negotiation – drafting quotes, pricing, specifications, used truck options etc. Negotiate sales and close deals to achieve sales targets.
  • Inventory Management - Stay informed about the used truck inventory, present trucks for sale and assist in the truck check-in process.
  • Handle sales paperwork, secure deposits and process contracts. Coordinate with service and finance departments to ensure a smooth sales process.
  • Identify and contact prospective customers in relevant industries. Travel to prospective and existing clients to build and maintain relations.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of market trends, competitor offerings and industry developments.

Skills & qualifications

  • Matric (sales qualification will be advantageous)
  • Valid driver’s license (code 10 or higher will be advantageous)
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
  • Minimum of 5 years working experience in a sales position in the truck / automotive industry
  • Must have extensive truck and truck parts knowledge
  • Ability to generate leads and build relationships
  • Computer literate and ability to maintain accurate sales and customer records
  • Sales targets driven
  • Willing to travel
  • Fully bilingual
