Overview

Are you an experienced PLC Software Engineer and dreaming of an international career? We offer you the opportunity to relocate to the Netherlands and work on the development of high-tech machines that are used worldwide in the steel processing industry.

What will you do?

As a Software Engineer PLC , you will be part of a multidisciplinary team of Mechanical, Electrical and Software Engineers. Together, you will develop the next generation of machines – from concept to realization. You will translate complex functional requirements into smart control software that drives hardware components. You will work with Beckhoff TwinCAT within a proprietary software platform running on industrial PCs. In addition to programming, you will also contribute to software architecture and the implementation of new functionalities. What makes this role unique : you will see the direct results of your work when testing the software on the machines in the modern Engineering Center in the Netherlands.

Key responsibilities

Develop and test new PLC functionalities in TwinCAT
Collaborate with Software Architects and platform teams
Analyze and solve complex technical issues
Work in two-week agile sprints and align daily with your team

Your profile

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in (Technical) Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar

Experience as a PLC Software Engineer

Knowledge of Beckhoff TwinCAT is an advantage

Curious, innovative and a real team player

Fluent in English and Afrikaans

Interested in relocating to the Netherlands
