Overview
Our Business Development Manager (BDM) will focus on driving business growth by identifying new opportunities, building relationships, and developing strategies. He / She will play a crucial role in expanding our organisation’s market reach and increase our revenue. Our Business Development Manager will also be involved in all aspects of business development from market research and lead generation to negotiating deals and managing client relationships.

Responsibilities
Identifying and researching new business opportunities : Analyzing market trends, identifying potential target markets, and researching leads.Developing and implementing business development strategies : Creating plans to achieve growth objectives, including identifying new markets and client needs.Educating customers and stakeholders : Explaining the value of products or services to potential clients and partners.Building and maintaining client relationships : Networking, attending industry events, and nurturing relationships with all stakeholders.Monitoring sales progress and performance : Tracking key metrics, analyzing data, and making adjustments to strategies to meet goals.Collaborating with internal teams : Working with sales, marketing, and product development teams to ensure alignment and successful project execution.Negotiating and closing deals : Leveraging communication and negotiation skills to secure new business and partnerships.Administration : Documenting and communicating updated business opportunities; capturing customer engagement data into the Sales Mobility platform (including when a prospect or key stakeholder is identified, and through emails, telephone calls, and visits); ensuring efficient use of the Sales Mobility platform and maintaining relevant customer feedback; providing professional, concise written communications and adhering to guidelines.Minimum qualifications
Sales related qualification, with at least 5 years’ experience in a similar role and / or a Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is often preferred.
Proven experience in a commercial or business development role, preferably within a logistics or supply chain environment.
Additional qualifications
Knowledge of Logistics and Supply Chain Management : A solid understanding of logistics principles, processes, and best practices.
