Property Valuation & Inspection

  • Collect data from detailed property inspections which would assess value, condition, and potential risks across various property sectors (residential, commercial, industrial).
  • Apply various valuation methodologies (direct comparison, income capitalization, cost approach) to accurately determine property values.
  • Prepare and finalize accurate, comprehensive valuation reports in full compliance with relevant legislation, industry standards (e.g., API, RICS, IVSC guidelines), and client requirements.
  • Ensure all valuations adhere to professional standards and stay updated on legal, financial, and regulatory changes impacting property valuations.

Report Production & Data Analysis

  • Perform preliminary quality assurance on reports, proactively identifying and resolving missing information, data discrepancies, or inconsistencies.
  • Format and finalize reports using the company's standard template, ensuring a professional and consistent presentation (a critical back‑end focus).
  • Execute basic financial and valuation calculations, including rebuild cost estimations and commercial rent analyses.
  • Pull, organize, and manage comparable property sales data from both internal databases and external market sources, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
  • Regularly collect and analyze local property market trends, zoning laws, and property development trends to provide informed insights for valuations and reports.
  • Work closely with Valuation Surveyors, Quantity Surveyors, Project Managers, and other internal specialists to support the efficient production of reports and deliver holistic property services.
  • Maintain the company's property data database by regularly collecting and inputting market sales data.
  • Willingness to travel locally or regionally for site inspections as required.
  • Qualifications & Experience

  • Education : A Bachelor's degree in Property, Valuation, Finance, or a related field is required.
  • Experience : Proven experience in property valuation, data analysis, or a back‑office support role is essential.
  • Professional Affiliation : Membership or eligibility for membership with a relevant professional body (e.g., API, RICS) is strongly preferred.
  • Technical Proficiency : Strong proficiency in MS Office & valuation software / tools and relevant software for data management and report formatting is necessary.
  • Geographic Preference : Candidates based in South Africa are preferred.
  • Exceptional Attention to Detail : A critical requirement for both fieldwork and report accuracy, minimizing review time and ensuring integrity.
  • Strong Critical Thinking & Problem‑Solving : Ability to proactively identify and resolve complex valuation issues, data inconsistencies, and potential errors.
  • Strong Analytical Skills : Proficiency in analyzing large datasets, financial information, and market trends.
  • Excellent Communication : Strong written and verbal communication skills, including Excellent Written English for creating clear, professional, and well‑articulated reports.
  • Workload Management : Proven ability to manage a consistent, diverse workload, manage multiple projects, and adhere to strict production deadlines.
  • Integrity & Professionalism : High level of professionalism and a commitment to maintaining ethical standards in all aspects of the role.
  • Note : Please submit your resume in ENGLISH; otherwise, your application may not be processed. We prioritize the processing of one active application at a time. If you have applied for multiple job openings within our organization, we kindly request that you direct any update inquiries to the team responsible for handling your initial application. If selected for the role, the final offer will be at the client’s discretion and will depend on your interview performance, skills, and experience.
