Legal Bookkeeper

A well established Law Firm seeking an experienced Legal Bookkeeper to join a fast-paced legal practice handling large trust balances and high transaction volumes. This role requires a detail-driven professional with extensive experience in legal trust accounting and advanced knowledge of LegalSuite.

Key Responsibilities

• Full legal trust bookkeeping in strict compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
• Daily management of trust and business cash books
• Processing and reconciliation of trust transactions, including large monetary values
• Managing trade creditors, payments, and reconciliations
• Monthly and annual trust reconciliations
• Supporting trust audits and ensuring audit readiness at all times
• Maintaining accurate financial records in a high-intensity, high-volume environment
• Working closely with legal professionals to ensure financial accuracy and compliance

Essential Requirements

• Minimum 10 years experience as a Legal Bookkeeper
• Proven, hands-on experience with legal trust accounting
• Strong proficiency in LegalSuite Administration (non-negotiable)
• Solid understanding of trust accounting rules and compliance standards
• Experience handling large trust balances and high transaction volumes
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
