Intermediate iOS Engineer (Full-Time | Hybrid – Sandton, Gauteng)
Overview
We’re seeking an Intermediate iOS Engineer with a strong technical background and a passion for building clean, efficient, and user-friendly mobile applications. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience developing, testing, and deploying iOS apps, as well as a solid understanding of modern development practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain high-quality iOS applications.
- Implement new features and optimize existing code for performance and scalability.
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including design, QA, and product.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging.
- Stay up to date with new technologies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
3–5 years’ experience in iOS development.Strong proficiency in Swift, Objective‑C, and UIKit.Solid understanding of OOP principles and Test-Driven Development (TDD).Experience using App Store Connect for app submission and management.Proficient with CocoaPods or Swift Package Manager (SwiftPM).Experience with source control (Git) and CI / CD pipelines.Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.Nice to Have
Experience integrating Flutter in native iOS projects.Familiarity with SwiftUI and Combine frameworks.Attributes
