Purpose Statement
To provide assurance on the status of risk controls and minimise legal risks relating to Collections and Recoveries through :
- Assuming responsibility and full ownership for the planning and day-to-day management of the Operational Risk Support function.
- Implementing and executing on a risk control plan that ensures RCSAs are conducted and follow-through on actions taken, internal audit and compliance actions are tracked and assurance provided on adherence to commitments
- Supporting the wider Collections and Recoveries Department with complex escalations.
- Managing and guiding the ARL (Allegations of Reckless Lending) portfolio.
Experience
6yrs+ working experience gained in professional, service or risk orientated environments4yrs + management, leadership experienceExperience in engaging with regulators and industry bodiesExperience of problem-solving and managing complex and sensitive client situationsexperience in an audit, or operational risk, or debt management environmentBanking experience and with credit risk being and advantage
Qualifications (Minimum)
Bachelor's Degree in Law or CommerceGrade 12 National Certificate / VocationalKnowledge
