A well-established accounting and audit firm in Durbanville is seeking a Senior Bookkeeper / Accounting Clerk to join their growing team. Key Responsibilities
Senior Bookkeeper
- Full bookkeeping function up to Trial Balance (TB) for multiple clients
- Bank reconciliations and accurate financial record maintenance
- Preparation and submission of VAT201, EMP201, and EMP501 returns via SARS e-filing
- Debtors and creditors management
- Assist with audits and prepare working papers for auditors
- Maintain fixed asset register
- Compile financial statements (advantageous but not essential)
Accounting Clerk
Independently manage client portfoliosProcess monthly financial records up to Trial BalanceReconcile debtors and creditors, prepare management accounts, and provide insightsDraft financial statements in line with accounting standardsPrepare and submit EMP201, VAT201, ITR12, and IT14 returnsPerform journals, provisions, VAT reconciliations, tax calculations, and asset register updatesCommunicate confidently with clients and provide solutionsRequirements
Senior Bookkeeper
Tertiary qualification in Finance / AccountingMinimum 3 years bookkeeping / accounting experienceProficient in Pastel, Sage, and XeroStrong attention to detail and computer literacyOwn reliable transportAccounting Clerk
