Job Summary
Leading and management of the Electrical team and resources to ensure the safe operation of plant equipment in compliance to legal requirements, as well as the achievement of a high level of plant equipment reliability and availability.

Responsibilities
Maintenance optimization of plant.Supervision of artisans.Ensure compliance to Legal, Quality, Health and Safety Standards.Business Intelligence – Perform Root‑cause Analysis to rectify problem areas and poor maintenance practices. Document and communicate findings to key individuals in support of Continuous Improvement. (FMEA, 5 Why, Fishbone, A4 and other techniques). Monitor and trend equipment condition.Functional Planning – Ensure minimal impact on production by achieving optimum turnaround time on work orders. Provide input into the shutdown process and post‑mortem. Allocate resources for scheduled / un‑scheduled work through short‑term (2 weeks or more) resource planning. Assess and approve reactive non‑urgent work orders. Provide input into scheduling to maximise production run‑time.Execution of Maintenance – Ensure cost effective and timely completion of work orders executed by artisans and assistants.Operational Control – Ensure Operational Best Practices are adhered to. Sign off on plant Temporary Change Log work orders and follow up. Verify and sign off on intangible time booking.Conduct regular scheduled over‑inspections to ensure correct standards.Ensure that the ACP is adhered to through execution of work orders and management of delays and backlog. Compile weekly report of work loading, backlog, costs, call‑outs and key engineering metrics or ratios.Communication and Reporting – Ensure key Engineering Department metrics are reviewed in team INVOCOM. Apply Kambuku principles. Provide input into interdepartmental INVOCOMs. Ensure correct, accurate and timely key metrics feed into weekly OPS reports. Report factors, incidents and accidents that pose a business risk.Governance and Risk Management – Adhere to SHE, legal, statutory and regulatory frameworks and promote a culture of compliance. Promote ISO 9001 compliance. Evaluate negative trends and remedial solutions. Comply with JAP audit requirements. Drive Asset Care Health Checks. Comply with Ad‑Hoc audit requirements and implement corrective actions.Inventory Management – Monitor critical spares and engineering stock item inventories, ensuring availability while minimising redundancy. Ensure parts of correct specification are ordered and received in stock. Monitor and control rotable spares.Contractor Management – Ensure contractors adhere to PPC asset care policies and procedures. Submit requisitions for contract labour and service providers. Allocate work to labour‑hire staff, contractors and service providers. Reconcile contractor labour hours and authorise invoices for payment.#J-18808-Ljbffr
