Lead DevOps Engineer – Rosebank / Hybrid – R1.45m PA

We''re now looking for a seasoned Lead DevOps Engineer to spearhead our infrastructure and deployment strategy as we scale globally.

As our Lead DevOps Engineer , youll be at the heart of everything we build. From designing CI / CD pipelines to managing cloud-native infrastructure, youll ensure our systems are secure, scalable, and fast. Youll collaborate with engineering, security, and product teams to deliver infrastructure that empowers development and accelerates innovation.

Requirements :

• Java development knowledge
• Experience with Helm and ArgoCD
• DevSecOps experience
• IaC experience with Terraform and / or Ansible
• Knowledge of SQL
• Ideally, a degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Previous experience in financial services, specifically credit and transactional products
• Strong background in automation
• Strong skills in Bash, Ksh or Python scripting
• Experience with Azure
• Experience with Docker, OpenShift and / or Kubernetes
• Experience with Unix / Linux
• Knowledge of CI / CD pipelines and DevOps best practices
• Knowledge of networking and cybersecurity practices
• A keen interest in finance
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills, maturity and the ability to work in a team
• Collaboration - the nature of what we do requires us to huddle around whiteboards, debate solutions with the team, and talk to each other often - this means that we all work together in person in the office
• Depending on the level you apply for, anywhere between 2 and 10+ years of experience in DevOps
