The Management Accountant will be responsible for preparing monthly management packs, analyzing variances, supporting budgeting processes, and developing financial models. The role demands a high level of accuracy, strategic input, and an ability to interact across multiple business units. You will also be tasked with supporting financial systems and driving process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management packs and reports for head office
- Analyze budget variances and historical financial data
- Review and improve business processes, providing recommendations to management
- Justify capital expenditure through detailed financial assessments
- Lead ad hoc financial projects (e.g., machine costing, scenario modeling)
- Coordinate and prepare group and divisional budgets and forecasts
- Maintain the MIS and Great Plains financial reporting systems
- Update and manage the Chart of Accounts across group companies
- Build effective relationships across various departments and senior management
- Navigate a complex manufacturing and accounting environment
