Business Intelligence Analyst

Job Summary

As a Business Intelligence Analyst at Xpedient Medical, you will play a pivotal role in transforming complex data into meaningful insights that drive strategic decisions.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements, develop robust data models, and deliver both interactive dashboards and paginated reports using Power BI and SQL.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct in-depth analysis using SQL and DAX to uncover trends, anomalies, and actionable insights.

Present findings through clear, data-driven narratives.

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document data and reporting needs.

Translate business requirements into technical specifications.

Extract, clean, and transform data from diverse sources using advanced SQL techniques.

Ensure high data quality and consistency.

Design and build interactive dashboards using Power BI and develop pixel-perfect paginated reports using Power BI Report Builder.

Connect and integrate data from multiple sources including relational databases, Excel, and cloud-based services.

Optimize SQL queries, data models, and report performance.

Implement best practices for efficient data refresh and report rendering.

Provide clear, actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis.

Support business units in interpreting and applying data findings.

Train users on navigating and interpreting reports.

Provide ongoing support and troubleshoot reporting issues.

Stay current with Power BI, SQL, and DAX advancements.

Continuously refine reports and processes to meet evolving business needs.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst or similar role.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
• Strong knowledge of DAX for creating dynamic calculations and measures in Power BI.
• Hands-on experience with Power BI Report Builder for developing paginated reports.
• Excellent data visualization and storytelling skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Project management experience is a plus.
