Accountant- Westville Kzn

Accountant PositionOur client in Westville is looking for an accountant to join their team.

Based in the construction industry, the role will include looking after a small group of related companies.

Experience of accounting in the construction industry would be highly desirable.Role : Manage the entire accounting function for the business including attending to the bookkeeping function in Pastel and liaising with the HR officer for payroll.Prepare monthly management accounts and reporting packs for the business.Prepare budgets and monitor as required by the director.Work with the external accountants for year-end purposes, preparing packs and reconciliations.Attend to SARS returns, verifications, and queries.Desired Experience and Qualifications : Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles.Minimum 3 years' post-articles experience in accounting.Strong technical knowledge of tax and accounting principles.Experience in dealing with SARS both via e-filing and other channels.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Experience in training and mentoring staff.Driver's license.The salary is dependent on the level of experience and academic study and as such the range for this role is very open, starting at R
