Assist in servicing and repairing diesel engines on trucks and trailers
Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes filter replacements lubrication and brake inspections.
Assist with engine overhauls gearbox repairs clutch replacements and differential work.
Conduct fault finding under supervision using diagnostic tools and equipment.
Inspect vehicles and equipment to identify mechanical and electrical issues
Replace worn or damaged parts including belts hoses brake components and batteries
Maintain accurate job cards and maintenance records.
Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) standards
Keep work area clean and organized according to company policies.
Provide breakdown assistance when required.
Grade 12
N2/N3 qualification in Diesel Mechanics (advantageous).
24 years experience in a diesel workshop or fleet environment (horse & trailer)
Basic knowledge of diesel engines hydraulics and auto electrical systems.
Code 14 drivers license (preferred).
