Job & Company Description :

Seeking a Software Developer to join one of the leading teams within tech savvy financial services giant on a 3 months contract basis. The ideal candidate will focus on server-side web application logic, including enterprise web services and APIS, optimizing performance, and ensuring security.

The key responsibilities for this role will include :

  • Develop and maintain backend systems using Java 8+ and Spring Boot to support enterprise applications.
  • Design, implement, and secure APIs (REST / SOAP) for financial services integration and transactions.
  • Build and optimize enterprise integrations using IBM WPS, Datapower, ACE, FICO Blaze APIs, and Apache Camel.
  • Deploy, monitor, and optimize applications in cloud and container environments (AWS, Azure DevOps, Docker, AKS).
  • Ensure system security and compliance with financial regulations and standards (SSL, encryption, PCI DSS, POPIA).
  • Collaborate in Agile squads, contributing to sprint planning, code reviews, and mentoring junior developers.

As you will be required to hit the ground running extensive experience is essential.

The requirements : Qualification :

  • BSc Honours in Information Technology or a related field

    • Experience :

  • 7 years experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of IBM technology stack (Datapower, ACE, IBM Process Server - BPEL). Docker and AKS.
  • Implementation experience of open-source integration frameworks such as apache camel.
  • Implementation experience using IBM WPS 8.5 and / or FICO Blaze APIs

    • Technical Skills Required :

  • Backend Development : Java 8+ (Streams, Lambda), Spring Boot
  • Cloud & DevOps : Azure DevOps, AWS, Docker, AKS, Kibana, Dynatrace
  • Integration & Security : REST / SOAP APIs, SSL encryption, IBM WPS 8.5, Apache Camel
  • Enterprise Solutions : IBM Datapower, ACE, IBM Process Server (BPEL), FICO Blaze APIs
