As a Back End Developer (Advanced), you''ll be instrumental in developing and maintaining Java applications that integrate with Codebeamer, enhancing BMW''s global IT infrastructure.

Responsibilities :

  • Develop and maintain Java applications interacting with Codebeamer
  • Write unit tests and refactor custom features for sustainability
  • Manage and maintain the Codebeamer platform
  • Collaborate within agile / DevOps teams for system analysis, design, development, and testing
  • Automate environments, infrastructure, build, and deployment pipelines
  • Enhance development tools and infrastructure for on-premise and cloud platforms
  • Automate infrastructure patches and maintenance
  • Improve development and release processes through automation
  • Work with QA Engineers to build test environments and ensure cybersecurity
  • Plan and execute application upgrades and solve problems using cloud-native tools

Qualifications and Experience :

  • Relevant IT degree
  • Minimum of 5 years in the IT industry, with at least 2 years in DevOps engineering
  • Languages & Frameworks : Java, Spring Framework, Python
  • Tools & Platforms : GitHub, GitHub Actions, Oracle, Jira, Confluence
  • Practices : Unit testing, static code analysis, clean code principles, Unified Modeling Language (UML)
  • Familiarity with Codebeamer and its query language (CBQL)
  • Experience in requirements management and handling keys, certificates, and secrets
  • Knowledge of Ansible, ZUUL, Bazel, Unified Expression Language
  • Background in open-source projects and business analysis
  • Proficiency in Linux, Bash / Shell scripting, and browser automation tools like Selenium
