Job description

Our client, a leading manufacturer in the automotive sector, is seeking a Maintenance Planner to join their Assembly Maintenance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically minded individual with a strong understanding of preventative and predictive maintenance, planning systems, and cross-functional coordination in a fast-paced production environment.

About the Role :

You will play a key role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of plant machinery, systems, and equipment by :

  • Initiating and implementing continuous improvement projects to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
  • Developing and maintaining preventative maintenance (PM) and total productive maintenance (TPM) systems using Maximo and Shop Floor Management tools.
  • Analyzing major plant stoppages or breakdowns and driving corrective action to prevent recurrence.
  • Coordinating maintenance schedules, controlling work orders, and ensuring minimal production downtime.
  • Managing facility manuals, calibration records, and related technical documentation.
  • Overseeing cleaning contractors and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.

About You :

To succeed in this role, you should bring :

  • A Degree or National Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
  • 3–5 years’ experience as a Maintenance Planner in an automotive manufacturing or similar production environment.
  • Strong knowledge of preventative / predictive maintenance, FMEA, and root cause analysis.
  • Experience with production equipment such as conveyors, hoists, and lifts.
  • Solid understanding of project management principles and familiarity with PLC and drive systems.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Projects, Outlook) and Maximo.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with engineering, production, and maintenance teams.
