Job descriptionWithin the Heath Benefit Solutions (HBS) area, a junior Business Analyst must work together with other Business Analysts to understand the overall business needs and requirements, documenting the requirements to a sufficient level of detail allowing the development team to craft a technical solution. The junior Business Analyst will also be involved in testing and validating the functionality of the technical solution against the business requirements. A Business Analyst in the HBS space must be technically minded and be able to understand basic development and data principles. the system development life cycle and can explain the importance of the BA role in each stage the distinction between business, functional and non-functional requirements the differences between business requirements and business rules the role of BA in supporting delivery of requirements from a technical and business perspective the types of project approaches such as Waterfall and Agile the principles of system and user acceptance testing and the link to requirements documentation principles of project risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies Assist in gathering business requirements Scheduling stakeholder workshops / meetings Perform basic data analysis and reporting Assist with creating or maintaining documentation and / or specifications to achieve alignment and approval of the solution to be implemented Develop cases, context diagrams and process flows to visualise and improve business processes.
