Overview :
We are seeking a motivated and professional Junior Lodge Anchor / Reservations Relief Manager to join a high-end safari lodge team in KwaZulu-Natal. This is a dynamic, guest-facing role suited to someone with a strong hospitality background, excellent administrative skills, and a passion for delivering an exceptional guest experience.
Key Responsibilities :
Front of House & Guest Relations
- Welcome and host guests with warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail.
- Manage guest check-ins, check-outs, and daily lodge operations.
- Ensure smooth communication between guests, lodge staff, and management.
- Anticipate guest needs and assist with activity coordination and special requests.
Reservations & Administration
Provide relief support to the Reservations Manager during leave or peak periods.Handle booking enquiries, confirmations, and payment follow-ups.Manage correspondence with guests, agents, and head office.Maintain accurate booking and guest information across systems.Operational Support
Assist with coordination of housekeeping, maintenance, and service teams to ensure seamless lodge operations.Conduct room checks and ensure the lodge maintains five-star presentation standards.Support management in stock control, procurement, and reporting.Handle basic financial administration such as petty cash and daily reconciliations.Requirements
Requirements :
Diploma or certificate in Hospitality Management (or equivalent experience).Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in a hospitality or lodge environment.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, reservations or PMS systems advantageous).Professional, presentable, and guest-centric approach.Willingness to live on-site and work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.Personal Attributes :
