Senior Functional Analyst

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Functional Analyst to support the optimization, configuration, and delivery of IT systems across our retail business. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and vendors to ensure systems meet business needs, are properly configured, and deliver value through robust functionality and high-quality user experiences. This role bridges the gap between business and IT, supporting the development lifecycle from requirements gathering to testing and post-implementation support.

Requirements

• Minimum 4+ years in a Functional Analyst or similar role – Essential
• Demonstrated experience in functional analysis, system configuration, and user testing – Essential
• Practical experience in software testing and validation – Essential
• Understanding of IT support and operations processes – Essential
• Exposure to various operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.) and internet technologies – Essential
• Retail and / or financial services sector experience – Essential
• Experience with vendor engagement and management – Essential
• Incident management system familiarity (e.g. Jira, ServiceNow) – Desirable
• Experience working on projects within an SDLC – Desirable
• Exposure to cloud-based solutions (Azure, AWS, GCP) – Desirable
• Understanding of change management frameworks – Desirable
• Foundational knowledge of cloud technologies and core programming concepts – Desirable
• Exposure to project coordination or Agile project environments – Desirable
