Qualifications and Experience :
Matric or relevant trade qualification (Mechanical / Electrical)
2-4 years of experience in industrial maintenance
Experience in food / snack manufacturing environments
Familiar with mechanical, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals
Key Responsibilities :
Routine Maintenance & Repairs
Assist in maintaining and repairing equipment, including but not limited to - conveyors (belt & bucket), air compressors, seasoning machines, packaging machines, puffing machines, mixing machines, multi-head weighers, and forklifts
Conduct inspections and report issues to the Maintenance Lead
Execute minor repairs and adjustments independently; escalate complex issues for support
Preventive Maintenance
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks as assigned.
Keep accurate records of work completed and parts used
Lubricate, clean, and adjust machinery components to manufacturer specifications
Support for Production
Respond promptly to machinery breakdowns to minimize downtime
Communicate clearly with production staff to understand issues and update on progress
Support changeovers and equipment setup as needed.
Safety & Compliance
Follow all plant safety protocols, including lockout / tagout and personal protective equipment use
Ensure all work is performed in accordance with food safety and hygiene regulations (e.g., FSSC 22000, HACCP)
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Tools & Spare Parts Handling
Use appropriate tools and equipment safely and correctly
Report low stock of critical parts to the Maintenance Lead
