Job descriptionGame drive tracker, working closely with the Guide to locate and interpret signs of wildlife Share bush knowledge with guests Daily vehicle checks to ensure vehicles are well maintained Cleaning of vehicles Packing cooler boxes for game drives, and all game drive preparation Ensuring a safe, educational and memorable experience for guests Hosting guests, including in the evenings Market-related salary Food allowance / staff meals included Accommodation with shared bathroom and staff kitchen 6 weeks on, 2 weeks off
This beautiful Lodge is situated in the Timbavati Nature Reserve and accommodates a maximum of 8 guests, ensuring an intimate wildlife experience for those who visit. This role is ideal for a mature Tracker who is friendly, outgoing and has a passion for hospitality and conservation.
Candidate Requirements :
- 2-5 years previous experience, ideally in a Big 5 Reserve
- Track and Sign Level 3
- Trailing 1-3
- Driver's license and PDP
- First Aid preferred
- Passionate about conservation, wildlife and the overall guest experience
- Great communication and hosting skills
- Proactive, friendly, outgoing personality, and a team player
- Great problem-solving skills and a quick thinker
- Handyman / maintenance experience a bonus
