Mid-Level PHP Back-End Developer

We are looking for a talented Mid-Level PHP Back-End Developer to join a global information and insights company that delivers advanced data-driven solutions to clients worldwide. This role is 100% remote within South Africa, offering the opportunity to contribute to high-impact financial and data-focused platforms from anywhere in the country.

Requirements

• 3+ years in PHP backend development with a solid foundation in OOP and MVC principles
• Strong exposure to Laravel (or another leading PHP framework)
• Confident working with relational databases like MySQL — performance tuning and schema design included
• Comfortable with Git, API integrations (REST / JSON / XML), and writing clean, testable code
• Experience in a remote-first environment, collaborating effectively with distributed teams
• Advantageous experience : Redis / RabbitMQ, Docker, and basic frontend familiarity (e.g., Vue.js / React)
• Understanding of CI / CD processes and deployments
• Bonus : Exposure to secure data handling or financial API integrations
