Candidate Target : Business Development Consultant (BDC) – Talent Team Leader
The Business Development Consultant (BDC) is responsible for driving sustainable business growth through hunting and farming initiatives across allocated Labournet products. It targets its efforts towards specifically allocated Labournet products within the company’s Engine of Growth (EoG) .
Key Responsibilities
- Execute on the assigned growth objectives, including new client numbers, product penetration, and closing ratios.
- Support the OSSP framework (Objectives, Strategy, Structure, People) and align daily activities with long‑term business goals.
- Follow established sales processes, reporting requirements, and pipeline management disciplines.
- Build and maintain quality pipeline, securing new clients through networking, cold‑calling, referrals, events, and digital channels.
- Drive product adoption and usage across targeted segments and increase market share in the assigned industries / territories.
- Maximise cross‑sell, upsell, and partnership opportunities with existing accounts.
- Achieve a minimum 35% closing ratio on allocated product sales.
- Provide structured feedback to leadership on OSSP / EoG execution, market insights, and improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with marketing, service, and leadership teams to ensure aligned messaging and client experience.
- Identify and develop strategic alliances that expand product reach and credibility.
Required Qualifications
Matric with 1–2 years of professional business‑to‑business sales experience.Experience in marketing and selling professional consulting products & services.Development of client relationship strategies for sales and retention.Preparation of business proposals and client presentations.Networking and pipeline building.Alternatively, a National Diploma in Marketing, HR, Law, Business Management or a related field.Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle (client‑facing role).Benefits
