Welding Foreman

A supervisory role within a welding or fabrication environment.

• Able to read and interpret Engineering drawings
• Liaising with Production teams
• Overseeing the work of welders, assigning tasks, and ensuring smooth workflow
• Understanding welding processes, interpreting blueprints and technical drawings, and troubleshooting welding issues.
• Participation in the fabrication of metal components including welding, cutting and shaping
• Usage of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment and heavy machinery
• General tasks in department
• Adherence to safety protocols and regulations, including PPE
• Cleaning pressure vessel equipment

Requirements

• Matric
• Own transport
• Red seal in Welding
• Understanding welding processes
• interpreting blueprints, technical drawings
• troubleshooting welding issues.
• Able to work long hours and under pressure
• High energy levels and self-motivated
• Able to follow instructions
• Reliable transport
• Good communication skills (ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Semi - skilled boilermaker.
