An exciting position as a Financial Manager

An exciting position as a Financial Manager of a group of companies that produces cut flowers in South Africa is available. The successful candidate will be responsible for the general financial management of the companies in the group. The main role will be to measure the financial and production performance of the farm managers and to communicate this with top-level management, to help them implement strategies to improve the overall profitability of the group.

Duties & Responsibilities

• General management and supervision of administration and financial staff.
• Preparation and analysis of monthly / annual budget results and reporting to management.
• Preparation and analysis of production reports and reporting to management.
• Weekly financial reports to the companies Director and General Manager.
• Checking and implementing internal controls in the group.
• Checking and approving orders.
• Identifying shortcomings in current management structure and implementing solutions.
• Cost management and negotiations with suppliers.
• Advising and supporting management in decision-making.
• Preparation and evaluation of business plans.
