General Assistant (External Applications Only)
Ensures comprehensive customer service in store, merchandising stock, shelf price labelling and housekeeping within the designated area of responsibility.
Responsibilities
Customer Service
- Advise and assist customers on correct products and queries.
- Assist with and resolve customer complaints.
Merchandising Standards
Bulk stock area merchandised safely and according to the store layout plan.Ensure your area of responsibility is fully merchandised according to the store layout and planograms.Housekeeping
Ensure that your area is free of obstacles and that stock is merchandised immediately after being received, allowing customers to enter and leave aisles safely.Correct shelf price labelling within the area of responsibility.Ensure the checklist is completed as required when on duty with the canteen and toilet / showers schedule.Safety (OHSA) Requirements
Comply with safety (OHSA) requirements, such as use of safety gear and ensuring customer and staff safety.Ensure racking and bulk stock are merchandised safely for customers and colleagues to move through the store.Report any discrepancies to the store manager.Manage stock loss.Report damaged stock within the area of responsibility to the store manager.Values
