Job descriptionThe job card process must be acknowledged within 2 days and possible setbacks must be communicated. The oil samples and action taken on recommendations should be within set limits. Discuss ‘comebacks’ with Artisans to identify any training needs and / or poor work performance. Responsible for workshop discipline and teamwork. National Senior Certificate. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license. N3 in related field. Wireman’s license will be advantageous. Minimum 5 years post trade experience. Extensive and proven experience on Crushing and Screening Plants. At least 3 years’ experience on fixed and mobile crushing and screening plants in an open cast mining environment. Supervisory qualification will be advantageous. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a supervisory designation. Sound verbal and written communication in English. Must be medically fit and pass a medical examination as required from the designated mines.
Maintenance Management
- Assist the planner with planned maintenance schedules and resource allocation.
- Monitor the quality of job card feedback and approve.
- Over inspections on machines should be done on a daily basis.
- Ensure spare parts are available for execution of work.
- Scrutinise the downtime information in the control room system to ensure accuracy.
- Monitor the performance of the equipment after a breakdown or planned maintenance work has been done to measure the Artisan’s quality of work.
