Job descriptionBEng Electrical Engineering (essential). 5 years experience in electrical system design, renewable energy, EPC or related environments. Strong understanding of SANS electrical standards, grid-tie requirements and electrical safety regulations. Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, PVSyst, ETAP or similar). Excellent analytical, communication and problem-solving skills. Valid drivers licence and willingness to travel when required. Experience in solar PV, energy efficiency or embedded generation projects. Professional Registration (ECSA) or working towards registration.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, review and optimise electrical systems for commercial and industrial projects.
- Deliver technical support during project planning, installation and commissioning.
- Conduct site assessments, energy analyses and system performance evaluations.
- Prepare engineering drawings, specifications and compliance documentation.
- Ensure all designs and project work adhere to relevant electrical standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with project managers, technicians and external stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
- Provide technical input for feasibility studies and proposals.
