Job descriptionMembership of the South African Institute of Draughting Proficient in AutoCAD and other Autodesk packages Familiarity with Civil Designer or Civil 3D software is advantageous Collaborate with engineers and architects to understand project requirements and specifications. Create accurate technical drawings and plans using AutoCAD and other relevant software. Prepare detailed designs layouts and calculations for civil engineering projects. Ensure compliance with relevant codes regulations and industry standards. Review and interpret engineering designs sketches and redlines to produce accurate drawings. Assist in the preparation of project documentation including reports specifications and cost estimates. Coordinate with other drafters and design team members to ensure project deadlines are met. Conduct quality control checks on drawings to ensure accuracy and adherence to project requirements. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of civil engineering principles practices and emerging technologies. Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in AutoCAD and related software. Proven experience as a Senior Civil Engineering Draughtsman or similar role. In-depth knowledge of civil engineering principles techniques and practices. Proficiency in AutoCAD and other Autodesk software packages. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in creating technical drawings. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team. Effective communication skills to liaise with project stakeholders. Strong organizational and time management abilities to meet project deadlines. Membership of the South African Institute of Draughting. Familiarity with Civil Designer or Civil 3D software is advantageous.
A well-established engineering organisation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Civil Engineering Draughtsman to join their team. This is a permanent position at a senior level requiring a minimum of 10 years of experience in the field.
