Introduction

We would need a qualified nurse who is capable of approving first time casuals as well as will be prepared to take on the roll of training officer.

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Occupational Health Nurse - knowledge of Food Safety and GMP standards will be anadvantage. The successful candidate will be responsible for employee health assessments medical surveillance staff onboarding and delivering training programs aligned with food safety and occupational health requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Conduct pre-employment periodic and exit medical examinations for staff.
Manage employee health records in line with company policy and legal requirements.
Support the staff onboarding process including health screening and orientation.
Develop and deliver training programs related to food safety personal hygiene and workplace health.
Provide first aid and emergency medical support as required.
Monitor workplace conditions and recommend improvements to ensure health safety and food safety compliance .
Participate in HACCP / FSSC 22000 / ISO 22000 implementation through health-related PRPs.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Registered Professional Nurse with Occupational Health Nursing qualification.

Minimum 35 years experience in Occupational Health Nursing preferably in a food manufacturing or FMCG environment .

Knowledge of Food Safety Standards (ISO 22000 / FSSC 22000 / GMP / HACCP) .

Strong understanding of occupational health legislation (OHSA COIDA etc.).

Computer literacy (MS Office health record systems).

Excellent communication training and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and in a team.

Proactive approach to workplace health and food safety.

Good organizational and time management skills.
