Overview
We are looking for suitably experienced Independent Financial Advisors (IFA’s) to join our dynamic team of professionals, whose main responsibility would be to create business opportunities and grow our network of business-to-business (B2B) clients within the insurance, investment, and healthcare benefits space.
Responsibilities
- Prospecting of new business-to-business (B2B) clients through creative opportunities such as Networking, prospecting and leads generation through business and social networks, associations or ad hoc presentations.
- Mining of existing client base to identify marketing gaps and sales opportunities within the business-to-business markets.
- Provide accurate information and independent advice to clients and stakeholders in order to ensure that the client receives the appropriate services.
- Promote the VP Advisory brand
- Requesting active and ongoing leads and referrals from others.
- Treating customers fairly to be applied to all client engagements
- Face to face interactions, social or business, to create business opportunities.
- Turning trusted relationships into business relationships.
- Strengthening existing relationships by increasing the current service.
- Use existing sources to establish opportunities across VP Advisory businesses.
- Personalised client value propositions to clients
- Undertake selected client focused activities to generate leads and informal prospecting opportunities.
- Structuring and implementing focused campaigns with new or existing clients in the defined market.
- Monitoring and respond to client activities such as business expansions, acquisitions and mergers within the defined market.
- Ensure all client interactions are compliant in terms of disclosures and advice given (provide written / electronic information required for compliance).
- Undertake comprehensive fact finding with each client to lift needs and priorities. Record these findings.
- Conduct a financial needs analysis
- Client consultations and sales growth
- Present financial solutions to the client in a professional and competent manner aligned to Treating Customers Fairly (TCF).
- Use relevant processes and system tools to capture analysis information and update records accordingly.
- Review client’s portfolio annually by undertaking the above steps.
- Client Servicing
- Ensure all client interactions are ethical, courteous and professional.
- Follow-up or refer all existing business queries to be resolved timeously through internal support.
- Strive for excellent, value-added service to clients
- Undertake continuous learning in terms of knowledge, skills and market / industry issues so as to service clients within the defined market.
- Initiate long term client relationships and maintain a relational focus.
- Monitor, update and reporting (weekly / monthly)
- Performing market research to stay current with financial trends
- Maintaining compliance with all rules and regulations in the financial industry
- Identifying and pursuing potential clients to maintain a strong client base
Qualifications and Experience
Grade 12 (Matric) certificateFAIS complianceRE5 compulsory and RE1 - AdvantageousMust have 120 credits in NQF level 5 FAIS qualifications (listed on FSCA website).A valid Driver’s licence and your own carA clear criminal and credit checkA minimum of 3 years working experience (preferably in sales and FAIS advisor)Proven computer literacy (MS Office suite)Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)2 - 4 years’ experience in the industry and, healthcare benefits, investment short and long-term product category DOFA.#J-18808-Ljbffr
