Diesel Mechanic

Overview

Seeking a qualified Diesel Mechanic based in Port Elizabeth for a Fixed Term Contract position.

Responsibilities

Repair and Maintenance - fixing mechanical failures on trucks, trailers and yellow machines, including engine components, transmission systems and other parts

Inspections and Administration - ensure compliance with Governing regulations and laws (eg Road, Traffic Act) - ensuring policies and procedures are upheld

Safety - Maintaining workspaces and promoting shop safety, following established procedures for safe disposal of motor oil, tyres and other vehicle fluids, adherence to workplace safety standards and regulations

Requirements

3-5 years experience in Diesel Engine, Truck and Trailer repairs

Grade 12

Valid Drivers licence (CDL strongly preferred)

Diesel technician or mechanic degree / relevant qualification with Trade Test
