Plant Manager – Construction and Mining

Responsibilities
Oversee plant and machinery operations to meet safety, efficiency, and cost targets.Manage maintenance, production, budgets, and staff; ensure equipment meets standards and production targets.Maintain a competent workforce through training and development; implement performance reviews and succession planning.Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations, including Mine Health and Safety Act (MHSA).Analyse performance data to identify areas for continuous improvement; implement corrective actions.Monitor daily plant operations, workshops, and production processes to meet quality standards and output volumes.Maintain equipment to OEM standards; supervise servicing and routine maintenance.Develop and manage maintenance and operational budgets; implement cost-saving strategies to maximize efficiency.Prepare reports and presentations for senior management on production activities and safety incidents.Qualifications & Requirements
15+ years of experience in plant management within construction or mining sectors; proven leadership of large teams.Strong knowledge of heavy plant and equipment maintenance; ability to ensure equipment reliability and compliance with OEM standards.Experience implementing safety and environmental controls and MHSA compliance.Budgeting, cost control, and financial acumen; ability to develop and manage budgets.Proven ability to lead, develop, and motivate staff; strong coaching, communication, and decision-making skills.Data-driven mindset with ability to analyse production data and drive continuous improvement.Educational background : relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business Management or related field (as applicable).Location & Additional Details
