JUNIOR MECHANICAL CAD OPERATOR / DRAUGHTSMAN

We are an established equipment manufacturing company situated in the East Rand. Due to continued growth, we are urgently seeking a Junior Mechanical CAD Operator / Draughtsman to join our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities :

Produce accurate mechanical drawings for manufacturing and production.

Interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Work closely with the design and engineering teams to ensure drawings meet project requirements.

Update and revise drawings as required.

Support senior draughtsmen and engineers with design-related tasks.

Requirements :

Strong foundation in technical / mechanical drawing (matric with Technical Drawing / Engineering Graphics advantageous).

Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.

CAD software knowledge : SolidWorks preferred; Autodesk (AutoCAD / Inventor) also acceptable.

Willingness to learn company-specific CAD programs if required.

Attention to detail and accuracy in drawings.

Team player with good communication skills.

Remuneration & Benefits :

Salary : R22 000 R25 000 (depending on qualifications, experience, and age).

Ideal Candidate :

This role is best suited to a junior draughtsman with a solid foundation in technical / mechanical drawing. We can train you on the CAD program itself, but not on the fundamentals of drawingso strong technical drawing ability is a must.
