Job description

Looking for a Project Engineer to join our team in Phalaborwa.

Position : Project Engineer

Salary : Market related

Qualifications :

  • B Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering and Management development program
  • Project management certificate or diploma
  • Valid driver's license

Experience :

  • Minimum of 5 years related experience in a metallurgical / mining production environment, mineral processing, and bulk materials handling as Project Engineer
  • Experience in engineering design, installation, and commissioning of plant structures, concrete structures, and plant process modifications
  • Excellent project management skills and application of project management methodologies (PMI, etc.)

    • Responsibilities :

    Evaluate, plan, and coordinate the implementation of new projects according to sound project management principles, company standards, and procedures.

  • Analyze client needs for new or improved technology to evaluate project viability according to company standards
  • Develop project plans considering client needs, suppliers, and resource availability to ensure efficient project management

    • Manage projects as allocated according to Foskor Project Management Frameworks.

  • Initiate and investigate tasks; plan project activities including financial scope, schedule, resource requirements, and motivations
  • Procurement planning and execution, stakeholder management, project communication, administration
  • Project safety, quality, monitoring, control, and closure; safety management of projects
