Financial Accountant – Manufacturing

Job descriptionMaintaining the General Ledger and ensuring reconciliations are completed accurately and on time Managing the Fixed Asset Register across multiple plants Preparing weekly cashflow forecasts and reconciling actual vs projected movements Reviewing and submitting statutory returns (VAT, EMP201, IT14SD) and liaising with SARS Handling foreign exchange documentation and reporting Overseeing banking functions, including payment release and stakeholder liaison Supporting audit processes and responding to internal / external audit requests BCom Accounting degree (SAICA-accredited) At least 3 years’ experience in a general ledger or similar financial accounting role Syspro experience is a non-negotiable Strong MS Excel skills Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and time management Ability to work under pressure and collaborate across teams
Our client, a leader in the furniture and consumer goods space, is looking for a skilled finance professional to join their Canelands-based operation.
This role forms part of a high-performing team responsible for financial reporting, forecasting, statutory compliance, fixed asset management, and treasury oversight.
Based in Dube Tradeport, Durban
- 3+ years’ experience in general ledger and financial accounting
- BCom Accounting (SAICA-accredited)
- Advanced Excel and Syspro experience essential
- Background in manufacturing or industrial environments preferred
