Job description

Role Summary

We are seeking a results-driven Account Executive with approximately 2+ years of experience in B2B technology or cybersecurity sales. This is a remote role focused on acquiring new business and expanding existing accounts for a leading South African email security and cloud services provider. You will work closely with technical teams to position cybersecurity, email archiving, and cloud-based communication products to enterprise and mid-market clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and close new business opportunities across enterprise and mid-market segments.
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of existing accounts through upselling, cross-selling, and renewals.
  • Conduct virtual product demos and customer consultations in collaboration with internal technical teams.
  • Prepare proposals, manage the full sales cycle, and negotiate contract terms.
  • Maintain an up-to-date sales pipeline and CRM records.
  • Collaborate with internal departments (marketing, product, customer support) to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends in email security, compliance, and cloud-based services.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

  • 2-5 years of experience in a sales or account executive role, ideally within SaaS, cybersecurity, or IT services.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Experience working with enterprise clients and managing a full sales cycle remotely.
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand and communicate value propositions of cybersecurity and cloud solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with email security, compliance, and archiving solutions.
  • Previous experience selling to regulated industries (e.g., finance, healthcare, government).
  • Competency with CRM platforms such as HubSpot or Salesforce.
  • Consultative sales approach and client-centric mindset.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with technical and support teams.
