Lead and contribute to R&D projects focused on the testing and development of advanced materials for structural applications.
Conduct laboratory-based experiments, performance assessments, and data analysis related to material behavior and durability.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to translate research findings into practical design and construction solutions.
Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and interns.
Support ongoing innovation initiatives and contribute to process improvements within the R&D department.
Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations to communicate findings effectively.
Skills & Experience :
Minimum 35 years experience in structural materials research, testing, or related R&D work.
Strong background in material science and structures, with hands-on experience in laboratory analysis and testing methods.
Proven ability to interpret data, draw conclusions, and apply results to real-world structural applications.
Excellent communication and report-writing skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Passionate about mentoring and developing young engineering talent.
Qualification :
PhD or Masters degree (MEng / MSc) in Structural Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
Bachelors degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
