Shipping Controller

Large Importer and exporter of frozen meat is urgently needing a shipping controller.

It is imperative that the applicant has experience in framing import & export bills of entry and import releases, along with a strong knowledge in framing import and export road bills of entry and export road freight as it will be their primary task, however, will also be doing releases.

The Company does own in-house clearances.

Duties & Responsibilities

Framing bills of entry (import and export) and import releases.

Responsibilities - primary tasks, functions and deliverables of the role include, but are not limited to :

• Monitor cross pack and cross border process
• Manage and monitor storage
• Framing export road freight bills of entry - SAD declaration
• Manage and monitor electronic Road Freight Manifests (eRFMs) submissions
• Acquittal submission upon request from SARS
• RCG submissions
• Compliance report
• Speaking to suppliers and arranging permits
• Maintaining stock sheet
• System update / data integrity / Cross border documents for record keeping

Import :

The controller will also be involved with the import releases :

Desired Experience & Qualification

Ability to work in Cato Ridge; own car is preferred.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :

Matric

Minimum of 3 years road export experience

Minimum of 3 years framing bills of entry experience

Minimum of 3 years sea freight import experience

SKILLS AND TRAITS REQUIRED :

Organized and methodical

Proficient in MS Office Word and Excel

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
