RESPONSIBILITIES :

Plan, prepare, and deliver creative and inspiring Art and Design lessons.

Foster a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment.

Teach across various media and techniques, including drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, and digital art.

Encourage students to experiment, take creative risks, and develop critical thinking skills.

Prepare students for assessments, exhibitions, and competitions.

Maintain accurate records of student progress and achievements.

Contribute to whole-school arts initiatives and extra-curricular activities.

REQUIREMENTS :

Relevant teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, BEd) and SACE registration (or eligibility).

Degree in Art, Design, or a related field.

Able to teach either Afrikaans or English.

Proven experience teaching Art and Design at [primary / secondary] level.

Strong knowledge of art history, design principles, and contemporary art practices.

Ability to use and teach both traditional and digital media.

Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills.

Passion for inspiring creativity and artistic expression.
