My client, a market leader in the retail and manufacturing industry, is seeking a Cost Accountant to be a part of their amazing team.

Duties & Responsibilities

The successful candidate will assist the CFO and will be required to perform full costing functions for the business.

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Financial Analysis : Conduct detailed analysis of financial data to identify cost-saving opportunities, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement within the company's operations.
• Costing : Utilize costing methods to accurately determine the cost of production of various products.
• Budgeting and Forecasting : Assist in the development of budgets and forecasts by providing insights into cost trends and variances, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
• Inventory Management : Oversee inventory valuation, reconciliation, and control processes to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Variance Analysis : Analyze and interpret variances between actual and budgeted costs, investigating reasons for discrepancies and recommending corrective actions as necessary.
• Cost Control : Implement cost control measures to optimize operational efficiency, reduce production costs, and maximize profitability.
• Process Improvement : Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reduction initiatives, driving continuous improvement efforts across the company.
• Financial Reporting : Prepare accurate and timely financial reports to support decision-making by management.
• Audit Support : Assist in internal and external audits by providing documentation, explanations, and analysis related to costs, ensuring compliance with audit requirements and regulatory standards.
