Red Ember Recruitment, on behalf of our client, is seeking a Houseman to join a luxury hospitality establishment based in Franschhoek.

This role requires a flexible, detail-oriented, and energetic individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You will excel in this position if you are organized, able to multitask efficiently, and demonstrate a proactive attitude with a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.

Main Responsibilities

• Assist the housekeeping team by supplying rooms with clean linen, towels, and guest amenities, and by collecting used laundry.
• Perform rotational cleaning duties across all guest and public areas, ensuring that all furniture, facilities, and equipment are kept in excellent condition.
• Assist with furniture movement and support additional duties such as porter services when required
• Handle the dispatch and receipt of outsourced laundry and related tasks efficiently.
• Respond to guest requests and enquiries courteously and promptly to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Maintain compliance with all Health and Safety standards always.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a luxury hotel or similar Knowledge of cleaning products, techniques and methods Be able to communicate and understand well Keen eye for attention to detail Maintain a high level of hygiene and cleanliness at all times Personal and professional integrity Matric Certificate Good communication skills in English High level of physical endurance Valid driver’s license Ability to work shifts including night shift Preference will be given to candidates from Franschhoek and neighbouring areas
