Assistant Manager

An exclusive, high end mens retail store has a vacancy for an Assistant Manager in the Canal Walk branch.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties.

Achieve sales targets and store profitibility.

Oversee the entire running of the sales and casual staff.

Ensure casual wage / salary have been met.

Daily cash up.

Report on sales and financial figures.

Investigate discrepancies.

Petty Cash.

Stock control.

Minimize stock loss.

Sales and customer service.

Identify opportunities to optimize sales.

Handle customer queries.

Merchandising.

Manage permanent and casual staff.

Disciplinary processes.

Staff scheduling.

Staff training.

General housekeeping and maintenance.

Matric.

Previous supervisory or management experience.

Strong leadership skills.

HR and IR knowledge.

Understanding budgets, targets, mark ups and expenses.

Able to make decisions in the absence of the Branch Manager.
