Job descriptionHigh school diploma or equivalent Minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical repair and maintenance, preferably in a maritime setting Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Familiarity with various hand and power tools Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams Basic knowledge of electrical systems is a plus Good physical condition and able to lift up to 50 pounds Excellent communication and teamwork skills Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist in the repair and maintenance of marine equipment and systems, including engines, pumps, valves, and electrical systems
- Conduct routine inspections and troubleshoot any issues that arise onboard the cruise ship
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients
- Keep work area clean and organized
