Maintenance Planner

Overview

Hire Resolve is currently seeking a Maintenance Planner to join a leading mining company in the Northern Cape. As a Maintenance Planner, you will be responsible for developing and implementing maintenance plans for the mining site. This includes coordinating and scheduling maintenance activities, ensuring the availability of resources, and monitoring the effectiveness of maintenance programs.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement maintenance plans to ensure equipment and machinery are maintained in optimal condition.
• Coordinate and schedule maintenance activities to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
• Ensure the availability of necessary resources, such as spare parts and materials, for maintenance work.
• Monitor the effectiveness of maintenance programs and make improvements as needed.
• Collaborate with other departments, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth execution of maintenance activities.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders and equipment history.
• Comply with health and safety regulations and company policies in all maintenance work.

Requirements:

• National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
• Trade Test Certificate (Diesel Mech/Fitter/Boilermaking/HEME)
• 3 -5 years experience on planned maintenance systems in a supervisory level
• Maintenance planning and scheduling certificate
• Strong knowledge of maintenance planning principles and practices.
• Proficiency in using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a team and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
