Overview

This is a brilliant opportunity for a Systems Engineer with server (Microsoft / Linux) deployment & configuration experience and network administration experience to join SAs leading FMCG group as they move their operations to a cutting-edge tech-enabled location.

You will be key to the planning design deployment and secure migration of the companys technical systems as they transition to a new future-proof premises.

This Systems Engineer role is Johannesburg-based with a CTC of up to R840K per annum.

They have recently experienced exceptional growth during the past few years due to an increase in consumer demand which they leveraged thanks to their continuous commitment to tech-enabled business operations.

The Role

As Systems Engineer your role will be to lead the technical planning and on-the-ground execution of the IT infrastructure move to the companys new location. You will support the IT Manager with both strategic input and hands-on implementation auditing current infrastructure coordinating disassembly and reinstallation of servers and network hardware configuring and validating systems and ensuring all services are restored without disruption.

Your responsibilities will include setting up & configuring hardware / software managing virtual environments (Windows / Linux) deploying Active Directory & Office 365 maintaining servers and workstations and overseeing post-move optimisation and support. Youll also configure peripherals like access control printers and Wi-Fi ensuring full operational readiness in the new environment.

Requirements

• 5 years experience as a Systems Engineer
• MCSA-certified
• Experience designing & deploying physical & virtual servers
• Microsoft & Linux server configuration experience
• Network administration experience
• Experience with infrastructure relocation or major system migration projects (advantageous)
• ITIL knowledge
