To lead the Physical Security Systems and Conformance Function within Real Estate Services to establish and maintain the standards of Physical Security equipment, procedures, policies and specifications throughout the Standard Bank Group in order to ensure the safety and security of clients, staff, physical assets and operations across all jurisdictions.
Qualifications
- A degree in Business Commerce, Generic Management, or Security Management is required.
Experience :
8-10 years of experience is required, with extensive experience in physical security systems, engineering, and consulting, coupled with a proven track record in senior and strategic leadership roles. Proven experience in developing and implementing physical security policies, procedures, and standards across multiple jurisdictions.Key Responsibilities :
Establish and implement comprehensive standards for physical security equipment, procedures, policies, and specifications to ensure compliance throughout the SBG and its jurisdictions, ensuring consistency with the SBG's risk appetite, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices, as well as proposing enhancements as needed.Provide subject matter expertise and guidance related to security systems including access controls, burglar alarms, fire alarms, surveillance cameras, and other security devices to optimise the safety and security of clients, staff, physical assets, and operations across all jurisdictions.Lead the Systems and Conformance team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team by providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations. Set clear goals and expectations within the team, along with providing clear and regular feedback and recognition, and facilitating the growth and development of all team members.Establish and lead collaboration and partnerships with cross-functional teams to develop, document, and update security policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and world best practices.Actively contribute to the development and execution of the Physical Security Strategy, roadmap, and projects, as well as integrating and optimising the Physical Security systems and processes.Communicate effectively and proactively with all stakeholders, providing relevant information, updates, and reports on physical security standards, systems, and performance to enable effective decision-making. Solicit reports and incorporate feedback from stakeholders to enhance the quality of Physical Security Solutions across the Standard Bank Group. Establish and effectively manage strategic supplier relationships to ensure the delivery of high-quality products and services to meet the organisation's requirements. Monitor and control contracts and service level agreements, including evaluating supplier performance and compliance and resolving arising issues.
