What Youll Be Doing
Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of mechanical systems including conveyors, chilling units, hydraulics, pneumatics, saws, and other specialised equipment.
Implement preventive and corrective maintenance strategies to reduce downtime and boost efficiency.
Partner with QA, production, and HSE teams to ensure all machinery meets strict hygiene, safety, and compliance standards .
Drive innovation by designing and adapting mechanical layouts to enhance production output and safety.
Lead rapid response to breakdowns, keeping operations running seamlessly.
Manage technical documentation, logs, and equipment records with accuracy.
Oversee installation and commissioning of new machinery, liaising with external vendors where needed.
What Were Looking For
A Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent technical qualification).
35 years experience in mechanical maintenance within a food processing or industrial environment (abattoir experience is a strong advantage).
In-depth knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, motors, and gearboxes.
Skilled at reading technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
A strong problem-solver who thrives under pressure in a fast-moving environment .
Excellent communicator with the ability to work independently and in a team.
