The Telematics Coordinator will be responsible for monitoring and tracking the company’s assets using the telematics system. This role requires continuous observation, prompt action in line with operational procedures, and accurate reporting to ensure asset security and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and track company assets in real-time using telematics software.
- Respond immediately to alerts, irregular activity, or deviations from planned routes in line with established procedures.
- Communicate with drivers, operations staff, and management regarding asset location, status, and incidents.
- Initiate escalation protocols in the event of asset theft, breakdown, or emergency.
- Maintain accurate records of all telematics‑related events, incidents, and follow‑up actions.
- Produce daily, weekly, and monthly telematics and tracking reports for management.
- Assist in investigating incidents involving assets, including compiling relevant tracking data.
- Support compliance with company safety, security, and operational policies.
Education & Experience
At least 1–2 years of experience in asset tracking, telematics monitoring, control room operations, or fleet control.Experience working in a 12-hour shift rotation environment is advantageous.Strong attention to detail and situational awareness.Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond quickly to incidents.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Proficient in MS Office and telematics / fleet tracking software.Ability to follow procedures and escalate appropriately.Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.Other Requirements
Willingness to work 07 : 00–19 : 00 rotational shifts, including weekends and public holidays if required.Reliable transport to and from the workplace.Seniority Level
